Rare geometric Myott Art Deco Pentagonal Jug 9356

An extremely rare Myott Pentagonal Jug in a great colourway of pale pink, green and brown. This piece stands 18.2cm (7.25 inches), is very desirable and has the early embossed ‘Myott Made in England’ backstamp along with the more conventional gold Myott crown, ENGLAND and HAND PAINTED. There is also an incised batch number ‘40’.

This is a wonderful Art Deco geometric shape along with geometric panels picked out in the pink, green and honey glaze natural ceramic, outlined by the famous Myott brown.

The Pentagonal Jug (which was probably originally designed to act as a vase) is in great condition with no chips or cracks. There has been a professionaly restored hairline to the upper part of the body however. There is very light crazing here and there. Pentagonal Jugs do not come up for sale that often, in fact I would say they are as rare as Beaky Jugs.
