Myott B.A.G. Art Deco Dante Jug

A nice Myott Dante Jug in a strong Art Deco pattern at the smallest size of 19cm (7.5 inches) tall. This jug was also made in two larger sizes in this pattern. Also known as a ‘Chicken Neck Jug’ or 'Egyptian Jug', this Dante’s pattern is composed of styled ovular flowers in yellow and orange with brown stems and foliage. The handle, base and inside the spout are coloured in brown.

This Dante Jug is fully marked to the base with the gold crown of Myott and also marked with the British American Glass mark of B.A.G. Co. Ltd. Other marks include MADE IN ENGLAND in a russet colour and HAND PAINTED. There is also another mark of B.G. but no pattern number following this. The Dante Jug is in excellent condition with no paint loss to speak of. No crazing either.
