Myott Art Deco Scroll Handle Jug P9719

Great Myott Art Deco Scroll Handle Jug in the small size variation of 8 inches tall. Nice strong paintwork to this example. This is the smaller of the two sizes produced in this shape at 20cm (8 inches) tall and 20cm (8 inches) from end of spout to handle. The Scroll Handle Jug is also sometimes known as the ‘Toilet Jug’. The pattern uses areas of paint in orange, brown and green.

The Scroll Handle Jug is marked to the base with pattern number P9719, full Myott gold crown backstamp, B.A.G. Co. Ltd., which stands for British American Glass, HAND PAINTED and MADE IN ENGLAND in russet. There are a few flakes to the orange paint and a small scratch to the brown paint just under the rim. There is light clean crazing.
